Helping Cancer Fighters

The UIS Cancer Foundation Charitable Trust is dedicated to helping needy and underprivileged cancer patients in a variety of ways. Additionally, the trust also provides free ambulance services for patients who may not have access to transportation. Blood and stem cell donation arrangements are also made by the trust, ensuring that patients have access to life-saving treatments. The trust also offers free shelters and food for patients who may not have a place to stay during their treatment. Nutritional supplements are also provided free of cost, ensuring that patients receive proper nourishment during their battle against cancer. Moreover, the trust helps in arranging transportation for patients who may need to travel for specialized treatments. With the advancement of technology, telemedicine services are also provided, allowing patients to consult with doctors remotely. Finally, the trust offers free medical tests as per the requirement of each individual patient, ensuring that they receive proper diagnosis and treatment. Blood Donation Camp

“Your blood is someone’s life.” Recognizing the dire need for blood in India, where over 12,000 lives are lost annually due to its scarcity, we strive to address this challenge. Not only the individuals who have met any accidents but also the cancer patients, thalassemia sufferers, and others facing blood-related diseases constantly require blood transfusions. To combat this, we conduct regular blood donation camps every 3 months in collaboration with esteemed hospitals and health professionals. We also remain always ready to arrange Blood/SDP/RDP whenever urgency arises. Our mission is to eliminate the crisis and provide vital support to those in need, fostering hope for a new beginning. We express gratitude to our dedicated members and donors whose generosity ensures the success of our camps.

Counseling/On-Call Support at Weekend

Awareness of Early Detection of Cancer

Early diagnosis significantly improves the chances of prolonged life or full recovery. So, we are working to raise awareness about the importance of early cancer detection. Through our awareness programs, we educate the public especially those residing in slums and village area about recognizing symptoms and encourage timely check-ups. By empowering individuals to take proactive steps towards their health, we strive to increase early detection rates, ultimately saving lives and ensuring a better quality of life for those affected by cancer.

Nutritional Support

UIS Cancer Foundation Charitable Trust provides monthly distributions of nutritious food to all cancer fighters in government hospitals. We offer protein powder, health supplement, biscuits, and fresh fruits to needy patients, aiming to support their nutritional needs during treatment. Recognizing the importance of proper nutrition in fighting cancer, we strive to ensure that every patient receives essential nourishment to aid in their recovery and enhance their overall well-being.

After Care & Follow-Up Service

After a patient’s initial hospital treatment is completed, we provide ongoing care and follow-up services. Our volunteers track each patient’s treatment plan and stay in touch to ensure they follow doctors’ advice. We maintain patient data and use telemedicine to deliver medicines to those in remote areas. Our goal is to support patients throughout their recovery journey, making sure they receive the necessary care and medication for a healthy future.

Financial Help to Cancer Patients

We also offer financial assistance to economically disadvantaged patients, covering expenses for shelter, food, and transportation. The costs of cancer treatment are truly expensive. So, to alleviate the burden, we aim to alleviate the stress of basic needs, enabling patients to focus on their recovery without worrying about essential expenses. Our support ensures that all patients, regardless of financial status, have access to the resources they need during their treatment journey.

Free Ambulance Services

Free ambulance services to financially disadvantaged patients are also offered on behalf of UIS Cancer Foundation Charitable Trust. Dead Body Cremation

We assist in the cremation of deceased poor patients, covering all expenses involved in the procedure. Recognizing the financial strain during such difficult times, we aim to provide support and dignity to families by easing the burden of funeral costs. Our assistance ensures that every individual, regardless of financial means, receives respectful and proper arrangements for their final rites.

Mask & Sanitizer Distribution

During the COVID-19 pandemic, UIS Cancer Foundation Charitable Trust organized a Mask & Sanitizer Distribution program to adhere to government protocols and curb the virus spread. Emphasizing personal hygiene, we educated communities on the significance of wearing masks and using sanitizers. Amidst challenging times, our tireless efforts aimed to support and promote community health, striving to mitigate the impact of the pandemic and keep everyone safe.
